FAQ's

Which allergies and dietary preferences are accommodated on your tours?

  • Vegetarian substitutions are available on all our tours.

Nut-free tastings are available on all tours. We have not had any problems in the past, but we do warn of potential cross-contaminations and traces of nuts in kitchens.

  • Our Food Tours have been designed to highlight the best and most unique aspects of each establishment. Unfortunately, there isn’t always a “next best” food tasting option that also meets the special dietary needs of each of our guests. Since we have your health (and palate!) in mind, we truly appreciate your understanding on this issue.

Please contact us if you are concerned about an allergy.

How much walking is involved?

  • Not more than you can handle! All our walking tours involve about a mile of walking with places to sit, stand or rest in between over the course of the tour. We cover enough of a neighborhood’s food, history, and culture to satisfy everyone’s curiosity.

How much food is there?

  • Lots! Enough food tastings are served that most people do not need dinner afterwards. And that is the truth! We have toured over thousands of people and it’s very rare that anyone walks away hungry.

Where does this tour begin and end?

  • The tour begins and ends in Beacon, NY in the beautiful Hudson Valley. Exact address will be provided when you purchase your tickets.

What is the refund/reschedule policy?

  • Under normal circumstances your Food Tour tickets are non-refundable. If you have a medical emergency, please contact us as soon as possible so we can discuss your situation.

Any minimums? Does the tour run with only 2 people?

  • While there are no strict minimums for our tours, please note that our experience is most enjoyable with a larger group of participants. If we have only two people booked, we may reach out to customers to explore the possibility of moving them to tours that are more populated for a richer culinary adventure.

What if it rains or snows?

  • Our tours run rain or shine, and in fact, some of our very best experiences have been enjoyed in adverse weather conditions. Come prepared for the elements and get ready for a memorable culinary adventure!

How do I get to the Hudson Valley?

  • Getting to the Hudson Valley from NYC, Long Island, or New Jersey is convenient by car or train. You can drive via major highways or take a scenic train ride from NYC’s Grand Central Terminal to access this beautiful region.

Do you offer private/group/custom tours or team building activities?

  • Absolutely! We offer private and group tours that are perfect for family gatherings, corporate team-building activities, and business outings. It’s a fantastic way to bond, explore the culinary delights of the Hudson Valley, and create memorable experiences together. Just SUBMIT A FORM and we’ll be happy to chat about your special needs.

Are these tours for locals or visitors?

  • Our tours are designed to cater to both locals and visitors alike. Whether you’re a resident looking to discover hidden culinary gems in your own backyard or a tourist eager to explore the flavors of the Hudson Valley, our tours offer something special for everyone.

Are children allowed?

  • Yes, children are allowed on our tours, but please keep in mind that our tours are primarily designed with adults in mind. Children may not have the same level of interest or attention span for the duration of the tour, so we recommend considering this when bringing kids along.

Are there alcoholic drinks on the tours?

    • While our primary focus is on food, it’s worth noting that each tour typically includes 1-2 unique alcoholic drink tastings that showcase the local flavors. If you prefer non-alcoholic options, we can certainly provide suitable substitutes to ensure your enjoyment of the tour.
